Foundation and Purpose

Levent Kuterdem, Prof. It was prepared by Metin Munzur, then reviewed by Attorney Murat Kidney and submitted to the authorities after necessary corrections were made. BESOM was established with the approval of Ankara Governorship dated 6 February 2006.
The purpose of BESOM:
- Enriching Contemporary Turkish Art Music, which represents the Republic of Turkey with its national, universal and artistic qualities, with new works and developing it in its own diversity,
- More vocalization, dissemination and more effective promotion in our country and in other countries; - Creating an environment conducive to raising more qualified artists in the fields of creation-voice-over-management-research-education and broadcasting;
- Creating the necessary environment for composers, conductors and music researchers to be more productive, defending their material, moral and professional rights, realization of the necessary institutionalization for this;
- To try to provide opportunities to contribute to the continuous development of Contemporary Turkish Art Music in terms of quantity and quality, to bring it into social life and to contribute to its participation in the universal music repertoire.
